Asian
The Asian lane. Rice plates topped with a fried egg, noodles in a black sauce, bowls of slow-cooked meat — one plate takes you across Asia. Some sets come with a soup or a small bowl.
About
About Nadeshico Cafeteria and NADESHICO, K.K., who run it.
Nadeshico Cafeteria is the cafeteria in the C-Cube building at Ritsumeikan University Biwako-Kusatsu Campus (BKC). It is operated by NADESHICO, K.K. — the logo carries the line “by.nadeshico”.
The lanes are Tiger Hanten (Asian dishes), Tetsunabe Shokudo (iron-pot dishes), spice curry, ankake pasta and cafe-style plates. Six lanes stand side by side, food-court style, and on this site we introduce five of them.
Our watchword is “safe, delicious and stylish”, and we cook with seasonal produce from Shiga.
Prices run from 1 to 1,000 yen. Through our own app, Gakushoku App, you can order ahead and collect, and the app also has a money-transfer function for sending an allowance. Cards, e-money and QR-code payments are accepted as well.
This is not a place only for students. Staff and local visitors are welcome too. We are open Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 16:30, closed on Saturdays and Sundays, and our hours vary with the university calendar.

Asian

Iron-pot dishes
Rice dishes served in the hot iron pot they were cooked in — hamburg steak, pork kimchi, melted cheese, egg-simmered and more.

Spice curry
The spice-curry lane, built around turmeric rice. Classic plates — slow-simmered beef, a curry topped with a cutlet — are here too.

Pasta
The pasta lane, finished with a thickened sauce poured over the top. Chicken and mushroom cream, bolognese, a Japanese-style mentaiko and more.

Cafe style
Cafe-style plates served on white china. Soft-egg rice dishes lead the way — demi-glace, white sauce, a soft-boiled egg on top — the same plate wears different faces.
